Probably your goal after leaving school or college will be to get a ‘job’.

But what kind of job are you prepared for?

Have you planned a career?

If so, do you know the qualifications required for entry into a profession?

Are you actively seeking to acquire those qualifications?

In almost all types of job some basic skills are essential. It goes without saying that the ability to ‘read and write’ is high on the list.  As is the ability to communicate. These are skills that you can master at school.

But jobs might not be that easy to come by.

In some locations there may be few jobs available and nothing that meets your plans for your future. 
Do you consider moving to a new location or even to a new country? 
Many vacancies require previous work experience. How do you answer such a question from a potential employer?
